Desert Choice Schools is looking for the  full-time Registered Behavior Teachicians ( RBT) for East and West Valleys for this school year and next school year.

Responsibilities

 

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH CHILDREN WITH AUTISM AND THEIR FAMILIES

A Registered Behavior Technician will work primarily with educational teams to provide individualized and small group educational/behavioral support in our schools and during community outings.   As a member of the team, an RBT will be responsible for the implementation of direct services aligned with each child’s IEP goals and objectives, under the supervision of a BCBA.  RBTs will utilize their training in applied behavior analysis to guide best practice approaches for targeted treatment of students with Autism and other disabilities.  As a Registered Behavior Technician, you will contribute to enhancing the outcomes of the youth we educate. 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Conducts initial assessment and contribute to the development of a service plan with provided curriculum guidance.
  • Provides direct services for youth with complex behaviors.
  • Provides school based skill development.
  • Provides guidance to families, when appropriate, on the transfer of new skills into the home and community setting.
  • Contributes to the identification of youth and family strengths and needs to enhance the Child and Family Team (CFT) planning process.
  • Ability to apply appropriate safety techniques utilizing Professional Crisis Management if a student presents as a danger to self or others.
  • Meets all required deadlines for submitting documentation.
  • Maintain organized data collection and data analysis.
  • Maintains active, professional communication with all team members in order to provide quality support to youth.
  • Able to accept additional duties as assigned.

 

 

Note: This is a 10-month position for this school year and  2018-2019 school year.  The starting hourly rate is $15.00 and it could be higher depending on experience and education.

Qualifications

  •  

    • Valid Registered Behavior Technician credential
    • Fingerprint clearance through Arizona Department of Public Safety.
    • Ability to implement therapeutic interventions.
    • First Aid and CPR.
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Proficiency in working as a contributing team member
    • Proficiency with multiple sources of data collection strategies including both paper/pencil and digitized methods.
    • Proficiency with data based decision making
    • Proficiency with DTT, PRT, and Functional Routine Instruction preferred.
    • PCMA Certification a plus.
